1998 – Present: Biomedical Research & Technology
Dr. Trujillo has consistently leveraged his academic and scientific work to promote biomedical research and biotechnology in the Americas. Over the years, he has collaborated with several influential government officials and corporate executives in the region to improve and modernize biomedical research and biotechnology infrastructure. Trujillo co-directed the development of the first advanced Biosafety Level 3 Laboratory (1998) and the Center of Research and Development in Health Sciences (2005-2009).
Dr. Trujillo has founded and raised support for several biotech companies in the biotechnological corridor of the state of Maryland and Latin American markets. His biotech ventures since 2009 include TruBios, CerCa Solutions, and NeuroCytonix.
